In Storytelling Workshop, parents can practice skills and use tools to help make storytelling engaging for their young ones. The themes of the workshop are changed every month. In every month, every weekend will be dedicated to a different age group (3-4 years old, 4-5 years old, 5-6 years old). This is to ensure that the instructions and activities are age-appropriate, yet fun and effective for parents to carry out with their child.

• Demonstration by the teachers with your child

• Short lesson for parents on the skills and techniques used

• Practice round of storytelling with the skills and techniques learnt

Why Storytelling Workshop?

There are more and more parents who want to be part of their children’s learning and growing process, yet have no clue on how and where to begin. Storytelling is one of the most common activities that parents do with their young children.

Storytelling Workshop helps parents to see that more than just reading a book to their child, there are other creative and fun ways to extend their child’s learning through the same story.

 

Young children relate and learn best through stories. With the right strategies, it helps to develop a child’s inquisitive mind and help them to be a curious learner - a foundational trait that is essential for lifelong learning.
